Adampol – Ein Teil Polens Herz ist 164 Jahre in der Türkei
Prof. Dr. Jerzy S. Aatka, Orientalist, Historiker, Ethnograf, Autor aus Kraków Der Vortrag beleuchtet die Problematik der polnischen Flüchtlinge und Emigration ins Osmanische Reich, die tief historischen und kulturellen Vorbedingungen zur Gründung des polnischen Dorfes Adampol Türkei 1842 am asiatischen Ufer des Bosporus und das nicht nachlassende und seit 164 Jahren lebendige Interesse an dieser Legende. Adampol, eingebettet in die Hügellandschaft Anatoliens, eine Oase des Polentums in der heutigen Türkei, war nicht nur immer ein sicherer Zufluchtsort für polnische Flüchtlinge im Jahr 1831, 1842, 1878, sondern bildete im Orient auch einen sehr starken Rückhalt für Ihre Politik gegenüber Russland und Europa. Prof Dr Aatka verfasste mehrere Werke über die polnische Flüchtlinge, Emigration ins Osmanische Reich und wurde insbesondere durch sein erstes Buch Polen in Türkei Lublin 1980 weithin bekannt in Zusammenarbeit mit POLONIA/POLONYA.

This month on its 164th anniversary the most welcome to Turkey. April 23rd is remembrance day in Turkey, Poland and World wide. Olechowski, General Jozef Bem, Arthur Zimerman, Konstant1n Borzecki the golden man, Prof. W. Bartoszewski, Gen. Cz. Piatas, Lech Walessa, the Polnish President Aleksander Kwasniewski the Turkish President Atatürk visited Adampol in the 30 ties just a few to mention it, in 1920 the article of" Gen. Rayski" a unique Polnish combat pilot who was flying in the Turkish Airforce very successfully especially in Turkeys independence war.
In 1772 Austria, Russia and Germany signed a full treaty concerning the partition of Poland which the Ottoman Empire never accepted. This helped to turn the Ottoman lands into a shelter for all kind Polish refugees. Especially before and after the war of 1831, the Hungarian uprising of 1848, the Crimean War and the Polish Uprising of 1863, from 1831-1842 -1878 thousands of refugees and all kind of people, groups, soldiers were fleeing and found a safe place to live under TurkeyÂ’s protection.
